In Episode 2, Misato and I take a trip to Sushi Meijin, a kaiten zushi 回転寿司(conveyor belt sushi) restaurant in Kyushu. Of all the “cliche”, fun things to do in Japan, this has to be tops. In Oita where there is a plentitude of cheap, fresh fish, these sushiyas offer great sushi at a great price. I have heard that 100 yen sushi shops in bigger cities aren’t nearly as tasty, but I’ve never tried. Enjoy your kaiten zushi tour! (Note: While episode 1 was mostly drinking, and episode 2 is mostly eating, episode 3 will combine both at one of Japan’s most famous exports, the Izakaya.)
